La Platriere is a newly converted renovated property which consists of a large house (Chambre d'Hote/Bed and Breakfast) and an adjoining cottage for self-catering holidays and short breaks.
Guests staying at both can enjoy all the facilities at La Platriere, including the outdoor swimming pool.

Join us at La Platriere this Christmas and/or New Year and make it a year to remember.
For example a four day break over either Christmas or New Year for 550 euros per person (£399). This package includes Champagne buffet, Festive Christmas Eve (or New Years Eve) dinner, Traditional Christmas Day (or New Years Day) dinner at local auberge restaurant. Each meal served with wine. All accommodation with private en-suite included, light lunches and breakfasts.

Situated in the heart of France in the Allier region of Auvergne, La Platriere is close to the departments of Cher and the Nievre, so it is ideal to visit the Loire and the historic towns of Bourges and Nevers.
As well as self-contained holidays in the cottage, we provide bed & breakfast accommodation in the main house, and for certain weeks of the year we offer residential workshops balanced with plenty of time to relax. Evening meals are also available and consist of delicious home-cooked food using local produce or from our organic garden. La Platriere could be the ideal stopover break during your journey to the south of France, Spain, or to Switzerland and Italy. We are only 28 kms (18 miles)from the Formula One race circuit at Magny-Cours so ideal for those wishing to visit the Grand Prix or any of the other major events held there such as the Bol d'Or endurance bike event each year in September, or the annual world championship superbike events in October.
La Platriere has 3 acres of garden, and is situated in a delightful secluded position within the rural countryside of Auvergne.
Being in an elevated position the property offers views of rolling green Auvergne countryside.
During specific weeks of the year, La Platriere hosts a diverse range of group activity holidays and can be booked for large family parties, corporate training events and residential workshops, where you can learn news skills in a restful tranquil atmosphere 'away from it all'.The interior has been restored and furnished to accommodate up to 15 people in the main house and up to 6 people in the cottage.
