The Cottage at La Platriere has been awarded 3 epis by Gites de France, and offers spacious luxury self-catering holiday accommodation for up to 6 persons and is centrally heated in all rooms. Guests staying in the cottage have their own private car-parking space.
Upstairs there are 2 separate bedrooms (one double, one twin-bedded) which join each other. Both rooms have exposed beams and oak flooring. The dormer windows overlook the garden and the countryside beyond.
A beautiful open-tread oak staircase leads the way downstairs to a sitting room which can also double up as a third bedroom, as it has a full-size good quality double bed-settee. Downstairs there are plenty of oak beams and a second sitting room, which for your leisure is equipped with Tv with videos, music centre, games, and books.
The bathroom complete with small French hip bath, shower,and vanity basin can be found downstairs along with the separate toilet. The kitchen-diner is fully-equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing-machine, integrated electric oven, hob and extractor hood and other mod-cons.
Smaller electrical items are also supplied such as slo-cooker, toaster, coffee maker, kettle etc. All bed linen and towells are provided.
French doors lead from the dining area to an enclosed private garden exclusively for gite guests, where you can enjoy eating outdoors using the garden furniture and barbeque provided. Well-behaved pets are welcome at a small additional charge (see price lists).
Guests staying in the cottage are also welcome to use other facilities provided at La Platriere, such as the outdoor heated pool, petanque (French Boules), croquet and badminton equipment and children's Play area. There are a number of picnic tables within the gardens for guests to use enjoying the different scenery that La Platriere offers.
Bicycles are available for hire on site, and complimentary therapies such as Indian Head massage also available.
For your convenience, a selection of food hampers are available at an extra cost. Please see page on Prices. Guests staying in the cottage can also book for evening meals in the main house, delicious home-cooking using local produce and vegetables from our own garden. Prices start from 25 euros*per person for a fixed menu 4 course meal. Children's prices under 12 years are 10 euros*.
